I ask tough questions. I make awesome $h!t. I CONNECT DOTS.

WHAT EXACTLY WOULD YOU SAY YOU DO HERE?

As a former Chief of Staff, Video Producer, and Events lead, I know that well-informed teams who are aligned to a company’s goals + mission are equipped to do the best work of their careers… that’s why I spend my time finding the right ways to connect people to information. I bring a unique blend of business acumen, creative thinking, and operational expertise to the art of Communications because I believe in the power of narrative to connect large groups of people to an idea

I spent my formative years as a video editor + producer and today I’m a medium-agnostic creator, using the foundational principles of storytelling to bring clarity and logic to scaling, complex environments. I believe in: SEEING a need and FILLING a need and I roll up my sleeves to bring great ideas to life. I help scaling organizations stay connected through nonstop change so that teams can stay focused and run through walls (a little something I picked up from my early-Uber days)

TELLING GREAT STORIES

As the first producer hired at Uber in 2015, I stood up a brand production team that kept pace with Uber’s unprecedented 10x growth. Since then, I’ve had experiences as a Chief of Staff, Global Events Director and Communications Leader. Whether I’m designing content for flying cars, leading comms at an early stage AI startup or producing red carpet events — I’m attracted to organizations that disrupt the status quo.

I’m an ‘all around coach/player’ with experiences spanning Production, BusinessOps (Chief of Staff), Public Affairs, Communications, B2B Tech and AI. I’ve played nearly every position on the field which has allowed me to bring a unique blend of business acumen, strategic thinking, and operational expertise to high-performing teams. I actually love distilling complex, technical information into clear, compelling content and I have a passion for keeping employees connected to company mission and vision. Especially in today’s rapidly changing environment!

As AI fuels a new era of innovation, the flow of information is picking up speed. As leaders brace for change and disruption, I’m focused on parsing all of that noise and turning it into clear information so teams can focus: What does that all actually mean to me and what should we do as a result? SELECTED WORK

My portfolio spans high stakes live events, marketing activations, global employer brand campaigns and bespoke, curated experiences. Not all of my work can be shared here, reach out to see additional work.

UNXPCTD - October 2023

Watch: UNXPCTD San Francisco

I turned our UNXPCTD virtual webinar into an inaugural in-person live customer conference. Honoring the theme, I designed every aspect of experience so it felt ‘unexpected.’ Since there aren’t many events designed for the PreSales community, I wanted this to be a marquee event that encouraged connection and conversation throughout the day. Convening 200+ leaders in the PreSales industry, we had 1000+ virtual attendees re-watch the show and adapted content into a 3-city roadshow leading to $500K in pipeline and broadened brand awareness.

Vivun Kick Off (VKO) - February 2024

Watch: VKO Vietnam

Working with our leadership team on our annual Vivun Company Kickoff (VKO), I created a multifaceted program that served to orient our teams around our goals for the year while leaning into what makes Vivun’s culture unique. In 2024, budget constraints necessitated a shift from our planned in-person event to a hybrid format. I designed an immersive 3-day virtual event that connected our employees across 6 timezones. I tightened keynotes and edited opening sizzle reels to raise the bar on the event brand and organized live watch parties. I partnered with Goldcast and successfully mitigated ‘zoom fatigue’ with post-event feedback called this “one of the most engaging experiences at the company — despite being remote!”

Netflix APAC 2021 - 2023

Watch: Stranger Things 4 \\ Gray man - Mumbai Premiere

In September 2021, I relocated to Singapore and led a team of 7 event managers in Singapore, Korea, Japan, India, SE Asia, and Australia. This was a high-level leadership position where I managed a complex budget and a functional team in a matrixed org. I streamlined creative and design ops so my team could maintain a high volume of work. The biggest impact I drove at Netflix was instilling a commitment to high performance while avoiding the pitfalls of perfectionism and burnout, creating a space so my team could thrive despite the fast-paced and high-stakes nature of live event production.

Uber Elevate Summit
Watch
: Elevate Summit 2019

Aviation is the most regulated industry in the world and Uber wanted to lead in UAM (urban air mobility). I produced a series of high-touch events to convene key policymakers and business leaders so we could generate momentum and build alliances across the emerging UAM industry. The goal was to generate enough buzz to stimulate the next-gen Aviation industry and these events became Uber’s single biggest positive press moments (at the time). In 2019 we moved the Summit to Washington DC to bring together policymakers and transportation officials and substantiate our product vision. I invited Uber’s other next-gen products (electrification, autonomous cars, and bikes) to share the stage — generating broad national and international press coverage with social engagement ranging 76%-89% positive. The 2018 Elevate Summit (Los Angeles), APAC Expo (Tokyo, Japan) and 2019 Elevate Summit (Washington DC) were produced in partnership with Infinity Marketing Team (US) and Empire Entertainment.

Uber Presents

Watch: Take a Walk in my Shoes

We designed a campaign to better connect Riders to Drivers and shift the perception of Uber. Through a series of narrative profiles, we captured the real stories behind drivers and riders. Meet Ruth: a Driver in Sydney, Australia who uses her earnings to support a foundation that brings troubled youth to her home village in Zimbabwe. I led this project soup to nuts, managing a small crew, international travel, complex customs clearances, and casting. In addition, I secured filming permits in some of the most remote villages in Zimbabwe.

Uber Product Launch

Watch: A Ride to Remember

We leaned into a narrative approach to launch new Uber products. For a new Senior-Citizen product feature, we designed a Father’s Day stunt to reach drivers who no longer could or wanted to drive their own cars. I EP’d the production including casting this unique role (a real multi-generational family with a connection to a car), locations, and securing a very specific vintage car. With a month from concept to execution and no time for a retake, I directed a “Ride to Remember.”

VR & Experiential

Watch: Airborne

Everyday urban aviation products didn’t exist - in 2019. To convey the experience of a short flight, we designed a fully immersive VR experience and aircraft installation to give riders a taste of what the future of air travel could be like with UberAir. Every detail was designed for accuracy to satisfy technical, investing and regulatory audiences. The full-scale physical cabin interior traveled with the VR experience so we could take the experience on the road. I exec produced this project with Bipolar Studios and Safran Cabin.

BIO

I’m a medium-agnostic communications leader with a career spanning filmmaking, brand + experience design, and strategic comms. I thrive in fast-paced and collaborative environments and I love to tackle some of the world’s most daunting operational challenges.

I left big tech to join Vivun, (a series-C B2B Enterprise AI startup) as the Head of Communications (VP) and learn as much as possible about AI. In this (#startup) capacity, I lean on my diverse experiences to lead and execute our internal and external comms strategies and set the rhythm of business across our budget and goal-setting framework. I oversee our corporate events and partner with our executive team across team operations and brand design.

Prior to Vivun, I was the Director of Events, Experiences and Screenings as part of Netflix’s emerging APAC PR & Communications team. I relocated to Singapore during the pandemic where I managed a team that spanned the most diverse region on the planet — no small feat, especially during COVID-19 lockdowns. But hey, challenge accepted. It was in this role where learned to instill a commitment to high performance while avoiding the pitfalls of perfectionism and burnout and created an environment where my team thrived despite the fast-paced and high stakes nature of live events. As the region eased from the COVID lockdowns, our team became a performance powerhouse—high on creativity, innovation, and the sweet taste of overcoming adversity. Because let's face it, pulling off killer events in the face of a pandemic deserves a spot on the podium. In H1 2022 alone, our team produced more than 75 events and screenings for global and regional Netflix titles and drove significant press and conversation for the global Netflix MarComms team.

Before Netflix, I was Uber’s first content producer — scaling an integrated production team into a world class storytelling machine that kept pace with Uber’s unprecedented 10x growth. In 2018, I launched a series of Uber Elevate events that generated the highest positive press in company history (at the time) and launched the Elevate (flying car) team out of stealth (the Elevate product aimed to weave everyday flight-sharing into the Uber platform). When the global pandemic forced the Uber to consolidate products, I joined the special M&A team that secured a deal for Joby to acquire our engineering and product teams. At Joby, I managed the transition program, retaining more than 80% employees during the deal. I then joined the special projects team that executed Joby's 5.7 billion SPAC deal in February 2021 before moving to Singapore for Netflix.

Early in my career, I was fortunate to pair my passion for technology with a love of narrative— adapting traditional filmmaking workflows to serve the quick needs of early social media platforms. As the first broadcast producer on the newly formed Edelman Digital team, I brought media expertise to the world’s largest private PR firm and stood up the Production practice to meet the growing demands of social content and digital brand storytelling. In this role, I directed content for major brands including Volkswagen, Adobe, HP, PayPal, and Starbucks.

More about me? I studied film at UCSD and graduated with with a BA in Visual Arts + Media (Cum Laude) and a special scholar athlete distinction as a four-year Varsity rower on the Women’s Crew team. I recently moved back to San Francisco where I keep balance as an open water swimmer and coastal rower at the South End Rowing club. In 2018, I competed for team USA in the World Coastal Rowing Championships. On any given weekend you’ll find me rowing, flying, or biking my kiddo to new cafe openings and pop ups across San Francisco.
